P90X2 – The reinvented version of P90X
Yes, there is a new version of P90X named, of course, P90X2. It’s not just the sequel, it’s the result of two years of research and development conducted by some of the most qualified fitness experts. While P90X uses the muscle confusion concept, P90X2 raises the bar to new limits with a world class training technique called P.A.P. (Post-Activation Potentiation). P90X Disc 1 – Review: Chest and back
If you choose the Classic version, this will be your very first workout and it’s kind of unfair because Chest and Back is the mother of all P90x workouts and one of the hardest routines in the program. Remember that P90X is a workout for those people that are already in a decent shape. If you are new, remember that you can modify the routines to fit your needs, and as Tony Horton says “Do your Best and Forget the Rest”. What is Glycemic index?
Glycemic index is all about foods high in carbohydrates and how fast they raise blood sugar in certain period of time, usually two or three hours after eating, on a scale from 0 to 100. It’s not about the quantity, it’s about the quality of carbohydrates you eat. GI is measured on a scale from 0 to 100, where higher values are assigned to to foods that cause the fastest rise in blood sugar. The highest number on the scale is pure glucose with a GI of 100. Foods high in fat or protein have low GI rates. Athletes benefit from using low GI diets to prolong physical endurance. Carbohydrates with higher numbers are great for covering short periods of intense physical activities, while lower numbers are helpful for long periods of exercise.
